Election Issues
Through you Honourable Speaker Greg Fergus,
Modern elections aren't really decided by policies, but by emotions, and how the public feels about the candidate, particularly their integrity, leadership and compassion. That is one of main messages from "Political Brain" by Drew Weston that helped Obama win in 2008.
That said, there are three primary issues voters are listening to hear answers about this election, trade relations, cost of living and housing affordability. The solutions should be tangible, implementable within the candidate's term, and be compassionate to the constituents. While the platform should demonstrate integrity of being founded on core principles of the candidate, deep values that the electorate can trust the leader will stick to as they go through their term.
The Right Honourable Prime Minister Mark Carney has been doing a decent job in at least giving the impression of someone that knows what they are doing. Though as a self proclaimed "elitist globalist", playing hockey and doing "average joe" stuff, is a contradiction, and smells of manipulation, lowering the integrity score. People want to know you care, that you love, and have compassion for the people of Canada. Maybe spend some time in prayer and get right with God, there were many cheers when people heard you say church, but you took it back, and are doing major secular Sunday events trampling on the Lord's Day.
Pierre Poillievre the "goy from the prairies" who attends Hannukah a lot, and supports Israel over Canada at every turn (like Trump), certainly doesn't inspire the Christian majority of Canadians. But he could have a come to Jesus moment, and rally the God vote which Carney seems to be pushing away with not mentioning God in his oath, as well as the aforementioned secularization of Sunday.
The main complaint about Pierre on X, and why he has lost so much support, is a lack of integrity, due to waffling, and trying to appeal to those that will never vote for him, or aren't even eligible to vote, thus pushing away those who would vote for him. As the common saying goes "someone that stands for nothing, falls for anything" and can't be relied on in a leadership role.
In terms of the issues, Mark seems to be leaning towards giving up our sovereignty to the EU, which is in the process of deindustrializing, and are living in a delusional fairy tale that they can raise a fourth Reich to go against Russia, even though they don't have any resources to speak of, and are generally a leech on the world economy. In deed he has been pushing a de-industrialization tax, to shut down our industries, allegedly to lower tarriffs for exports to the EU. Personally I feel that if EU wishes to tariff us for not stabbing ourselves in the way they like, they can go right ahead, we don't have to hurt ourselves for them.
Pierre is in the unfortunate position of being seen as a close ally of Team Trump, and no my friend, no amount of burning bridges can improve the situation. Pierre is doing the Canada First, much like America First, with similar talking points. It is better to raise forgiveness, love, compassion and kindness for all beings, especially those here in Canada, the Canadian Citizens that vote first. That said it's quite possible to take a strong stand on immigration. It is unethical to import people when we can't take care of the people we already have, since it is only compounding the misery. 4 million deportations can significantly lower housing costs.
In terms of cost of living and housing, eventually there will be land reform in this county, certainly by 2040, but possibly earlier if we get anyone compassionate, kind and intelligent enough into office. Justin (Castro) Trudeau and Chrystia Freeland, were in a great position to do land reform. Land reform was what brought Fidel Castro initial popular support, until he sold out to socialism and state land ownership, leading to famine and exodus. Freeland, well the name speaks for itself, and prominent Ukrainian Wolf Ladejinksy was the only one to make successful land reforms in the 20th century, in Japan and Taiwan, leading to Japan being one of the worlds leading economies for decades, and Taiwan with some of most advanced technology in the world.
Otherwise in terms of various fiscal manipulations, a tax here, or an incentive there etc, I don't think anyone really cares about that stuff, that is for minor tweaking, but we are going through more major changes. Though the next 5 years will be relatively steady, they likely mark the beginning of the end of the growth of the global economy, as we've run out of any large fossil fuel fields that we haven't already exploited. The thing to work on is increasing social cohesion, love, kindness and respect for free will.
The last major shale field is in Siberia, and is why Trump is mending relations with Russia and steering the war towards peace, and the notable recent energy infrastructure ceasefire proposal. We could and should promote peace too, as it is in fact heavy crude that is needed to make light shale oils into diesel. Though Russia already has an alliance with Venezuela (the other source of ultra heavy crude), we are closer.
I know Carney believes we have to make a significant effort for Net Zero, but the reality is that it's going to happen without any special effort, simply from our oil reserves running out. Over the next 5 years the 50th percentile Canadian household is expected to be spending about 30-40% of their income on food, and thanks to welfare the bottom 25th percentile is fairly close to the 50th percentile. By 2030-2035 that is expected to grow to 45-55% on food, and by 2035-2040 60-80% on food. Historically when politicians stand in the way when people are spending 60-80% on food, there is a revolution, and land reform may occur in a chaotic manner.
Meanwhile though, you are all on "easy street", though could work on increasing community cohesion, to counteract the chaos that often results from the beginning of the decline. As things break down during delince, and can't be fixed through growth, and every mistake is bleeds more. Spending can only go down during degrowth, even trying to maintain spending can only lead to inflation. The way to lower spending is to offload to lower levels of government. Though municipalities the "lowest level" have ballooning police budgets due to increasing number of disenfranchised landless people. Subsidiarity hierarchy and land reform can resolve the issue.
In terms of the annexation crises, where Trump is claiming it's related to fentanyl etc. There is no sense in us "building up our military", wars in America are all about swaying the public, what we need to build up is our compassion. People in America are dying from drug addiction in the street because they literally have nowhere else to go, and nothing else to do, because the land hoarding has gotten so extreme. We can raise the moral bouys to recognize the Universe 25 studies and Rat Park studies, and set the example of how people can be liberated from homelessness and addiction by letting them have land. We have plenty of land in Canada, 89% percent of it is currently reserved for lumber and mining companies to rape and pillage, a few thousand jobs at most, when it could be providing for sustainable food forest communities for tens of millions of Canadians.
The Dukha reindeer riders would be a beautiful addition to the North West Territories, and we could have rideable reindeer, and reindeer-caribou hybrids offering transportation all through our tundra and boreal forests, particularly where it may be difficult for horses, and as fossil fuels run out.
Point being, there are many bright futures available to us, we just have to be smart about it.
Canada is the Mahatma Ghandi to Trump's Empire, as the Confederation of Planets in service to the One Infinite Creator has said: "2016/11/19: We are aware of the one known as Mahatma Ghandi. He is one who traveled the road of seeking both spiritual enlightenment and social justice. Indeed, few in the history of your planet have traveled this road more successfully. He took on the British Empire, my friends, and he won. India became free. When he would meet with his advisors the night before the day of meeting with social, political, spiritual and community leaders, they would plan the day, and if the day was promising to be a long one, he would simply say, “I must arise earlier to meditate longer.” Do not refuse to use any tool that you have, my friends, as long as you use these tools in love, in light, in consideration of the fact that you deal only with the Creator, no matter what the face may present itself to you."
May the candidate with the most integrity, compassion and leadership skills win.
May you be blessed,
